SKILLED HIRING

Am I being paid correctly?

Pick your role, put in your rate, and see where it sits against the award minimum and the market. Sourced and dated. Nothing you type leaves your device, and we do not want your name or your employer.

Your role

Casual or permanent

Pick your role, your pay and whether you are casual or permanent. Casual changes your legal minimum by 25 per cent, so we will not guess it.

General information, not legal advice, and not a finding about your employer. We compare the number you typed against two published figures: the Fair Work Ombudsman pay guide rate for the classification named above, effective the first full pay period on or after 1 July 2026, and SEEK's national advertised salary band for the role, refreshed 1 July 2026. Award classifications depend on your actual duties, qualifications and time in the role, so the minimum that applies to you may be higher or lower than the one shown, and we always show the lowest classification we hold. Trade rates here bundle the standard industry, tool and licence allowances into one hourly figure, so your payslip may list them separately. Junior, apprentice, trainee and supported wage rates are lower and are not shown. Enterprise agreements override award rates and are not covered here. An annualised salary can lawfully absorb penalty rates, so an hourly figure worked back from a salary is not directly comparable to an award hourly rate. Annual figures are converted at 38 hours a week over 52 weeks. Only the Fair Work Ombudsman can tell you the rate that applies to you: fairwork.gov.au or 13 13 94. Nothing you type here leaves your device.
